Corporate and Group Insurance Advisory

Employee Benefits That
Actually Protect
Your People

Most businesses buy group insurance because HR requires it. The coverage they buy is usually underdesigned and the claims process is usually unclear. I help businesses build employee health benefits that work when employees need them, not just when they are onboarded.

What I fix in corporate policies
Sum insured that is 3x too low for 2026 medical costs
No parent coverage option for employees
Maternity sub-limits that do not reflect actual costs
No clear claims process or point of contact
Pre-existing condition coverage not communicated to staff

Corporate Insurance Services

From startups with 10 employees to established businesses with 500, I design and review group insurance structures that serve your people rather than your insurer's renewal targets.

Group Health

Group Health Insurance Design

I help you structure the right sum insured, dependent coverage, voluntary top-up options, and maternity benefits for your workforce. Pricing comparison across multiple insurers with no bias toward any one carrier.

Audit

Existing Policy Audit

If you have an existing group health policy, I review every clause for adequacy: sum insured, room rent limits, maternity sub-limits, network hospital coverage, and claims process clarity. Most policies I review have significant gaps.

Parents

Parent Coverage Structures

Adding parents to group health policies through optional paid top-ups is one of the most cost-effective employee benefits improvements available. I design and negotiate this structure with insurers on your behalf.

Claims

Claims Support and Advocacy

When an employee has a hospitalisation or claim dispute, I provide direct support through the process. Cashless facilitation, reimbursement claims, and escalation to the insurer when needed.

Education

Employee Benefits Communication

Most employees do not know what their group policy actually covers. I design communication materials that explain coverage, claims process, and limitations in plain language your team can actually use.

Risk

Group Term and Risk Cover

Group term life insurance, personal accident cover, and key-person insurance for business-critical roles. I advise on structure, sum insured, and insurer selection across all group risk products.

Corporate Insurance Questions

How much should we spend on group health insurance per employee?+

Group health premium depends on your team's age profile, city, sum insured, and coverage structure. As a benchmark, a Rs 5 lakh group health plan with spouse and child coverage costs approximately Rs 8,000 to 14,000 per employee per year in 2026 for a young team in a metro. Adding parents or increasing sum insured increases this. I provide detailed proposals after understanding your specific workforce profile.

What happens to employee coverage when someone leaves or joins?+

Group policies allow you to add and remove employees during the policy year on a pro-rata premium basis. When an employee leaves, their group coverage ends. IRDAI regulations allow individual portability from group to individual policies in some cases. I help you communicate this transition process clearly to departing employees and manage the paperwork with the insurer.

How do I choose between different insurers for group health?+

Price is only one factor. I evaluate network hospital strength in your office locations, the TPA's reputation for cashless approval speed, the insurer's group claim settlement ratio, and the quality of the digital tools available to your HR team. The cheapest insurer at renewal often comes with the slowest cashless approvals and the most claim disputes at hospitalisation.
