Every type of health insurance, reviewed honestly

I compare plans across all major insurers in India and recommend only what fits your actual medical and financial situation.

Individual

Individual Health Plans

Designed for single policyholders. I identify policies without room rent sub-limits, with strong network hospitals in your city, and with the lowest waiting periods for your health profile.

Family Floater

Family Floater Plans

One policy covering your entire family. I calculate the right sum insured based on actual hospitalisation costs in 2026, not arbitrary round numbers that leave gaps at claim time.

Senior Citizen

Senior Citizen Health Cover

Cover for parents aged 60 and above, with lower co-payment clauses, no blanket pre-existing condition exclusions, and networks that include top hospitals in their city.

Critical Illness

Critical Illness Cover

Lump sum payouts for cancer, cardiac events, stroke, and 30 other listed conditions. I explain exactly what triggers the payout and what does not, before you sign.

Super Top-Up

Super Top-Up Plans

The most cost-efficient way to extend your cover beyond the base policy. I show you when a super top-up makes more sense than increasing your base sum insured.

Policy Review

Existing Policy Review

Already have health insurance? I review your current policy for silent exclusions, sub-limits, and renewal terms that could hurt you when you need it most.

From first call to policy in hand

1

Free needs assessment

I ask about your age, family members, city, existing conditions, and budget. No form-filling. Just a conversation to understand what you actually need covered.

2

Policy comparison across insurers

I compare shortlisted plans across HDFC Ergo, Niva Bupa, Star Health, Care, and others. I go beyond premium to explain exclusions, room rent limits, and network hospitals.

3

Recommendation with reasoning

I present the top 2 to 3 options with a clear explanation of why each is or is not right for you. No pressure, no default recommendation.

4

Application and onboarding

I walk you through the proposal form, help you correctly declare your health history, and ensure the policy is set up without gaps that could trigger a rejection later.

5

Ongoing support and claims

I stay with you through renewals, policy changes, and most importantly through claims. You have a named advisor to call when you are hospitalised, not a helpline.

The clause most people discover too late

Policy Clause

...subject to the sub-limit specified in the schedule, the waiting period shall apply notwithstanding any prior continuous coverage...

What this means

Room rent sub-limits, waiting periods, and proportional deduction clauses are buried in policy documents. When you exceed a room rent cap, insurers reduce surgeon fees, ICU charges, and medicine costs by the same proportion. A Rs 5 lakh claim becomes Rs 2.5 lakh payable.

I read every clause like this on your behalf and tell you in plain language what it costs you if it is missed. That is what an independent advisor does that a comparison website cannot.

Health insurance questions I hear every day

What is a room rent sub-limit and why does it matter?

A room rent sub-limit caps the daily hospital room cost your insurer covers. If you stay in a more expensive room, the insurer proportionally reduces all other claim expenses including surgeon fees and ICU charges. A 50 percent room rent overage can cut your entire claim by 50 percent, not just the room cost.

How much health insurance do I actually need in 2026?

For a family of four in any metro, a minimum of Rs 25 to 50 lakh base cover plus a super top-up is the realistic starting point given current hospitalisation costs. Medical inflation runs at 12 to 15 percent annually. A Rs 5 lakh policy bought in 2018 may barely cover ICU stay at a private hospital today.

What are pre-existing condition waiting periods?

Most health policies exclude claims related to conditions you had before buying the policy for 2 to 4 years. The waiting period clock starts from your first policy date. If you port your policy to a new insurer, the clock usually continues from your original start date, not from the port date.

Is my employer group health cover enough?

Rarely. Group cover ends the day you leave your job, has no portability, and typically offers Rs 3 to 5 lakh cover. It also does not cover parents in most cases. An individual policy running alongside your group cover is essential protection for the gap between jobs and for situations group cover does not reach.

Can I switch my health policy to a better one?

Yes. IRDAI's portability rules allow you to port your health policy to a new insurer at renewal, preserving your waiting period credit. There are specific timelines to follow. I handle the portability process and negotiate continuity terms on your behalf.
